Christy Media Solutions is currently working with a leading service provider of specialist technical support to local, national and global radio stations that has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Broadcast Radio Support Engineer to join its team.
Working both remotely and on-site across various locations in London, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and upgrading studio facilities, transmission sites and technical systems, working closely with clients to ensure all technical issues are resolved in a timely manner and you must therefore have excellent customer-facing skills.
As a Broadcast Radio Support Engineer you will provide routine maintenance, technical troubleshooting and hardware and software installation support, within a live broadcast environment. It is essential that you have previous experience of working in a live radio or television environment and understand the urgency of resolving issues quickly and efficiently. You must also thrive under pressure and possess exceptional communication and time management skills, alongside a natural technical aptitude.
Experience of supporting playout and newsroom systems is vital, with RCS Zetta and Burli being particularly advantageous. Knowledge of analogue wiring and soldering xlr is also essential, along with an understanding of broadcast systems such as transmission equipment, mixers and studio systems.
Applicants must possess a driving licence, with access to your own vehicle being highly desirable, as you will be required to travel between client sites that are not accessible via public transport.
